This is a small marketing site. Reading it collects nothing: no analytics, no cookies, no sign-up forms. If you buy Tandem, that is different, and it is described under Buying Tandem below.

The one network call

To show the current version and download links, this site fetches the latest release from GitHub's public API (api.github.com). That request is made directly from your browser, so your IP address reaches GitHub the same way it would if you visited a GitHub releases page directly. It happens automatically when you load a page that shows a download button — not only when you click one. No other data is sent.

Everything else

Static assets (fonts, images, stylesheets) are served from this site's own domain. No third-party scripts, trackers, or embeds are loaded.

Buying Tandem

Tandem is free for personal use and individual self-hosting while it is in beta, and there is nothing on sale yet. When buying opens, the purchase goes through a payment provider on their own site — this site never sees or handles your payment details, and no payment form is ever hosted here.

What a purchase records on my side is your email address. It is kept in a small order ledger so that a license key can be re-issued or a refund reconciled, for as long as I reissue lost keys, and it is also written into the license key itself, which is how a key is tied to a person rather than to a machine. That means your email address is inside the file you receive — worth knowing before you paste it anywhere public. The payment provider keeps its own record of your purchase, including the details you give at checkout.

Three services are involved in that path: the payment provider that takes the payment, Cloudflare (which runs the issuance service and stores the ledger), and an email provider that delivers the license key to you. Tandem doesn’t contact a server to activate or to check your key. From v1.0, the desktop app’s update check sends your key’s id — never your email or the key itself — to an update service on Cloudflare, which uses it to decide whether to offer you new versions. The id is linked to your email, on my side, only in the order ledger above and in the email that delivered your key.

If you want your order record deleted after a purchase, write to support@tandem.ink, the same address as any other purchase matter. Once it is erased I can’t reissue a lost key for you. Deleting it does not revoke your license key — its signature is checked locally and does not depend on anything I keep.
